JUST LISTED IN ANACORTES - THE GATEWAY TO YOUR BOATING LIFESTYLE DREAMS
There are a only few select boats that can be called "Classic", and the Kelly Peterson 44 is one of them. She is a true blue-water cruiser, and "Sea Crane" is no exception. This pedigreed sloop has been to NZ, the South Pacific, Hawaii and back.
Her current owner has been preparing, and upgrading her for a major bluewater adventure for the past eight years; but circumstances have changed and the boat now needs to move on to another sailor, dreamer, live-aboard couple, or world cruiser waiting for just the right 'sail away' boat to appear. Well, here she is.... in Anacortes. Waiting for your inspection and walk-through.
Here are a few of the notable upgrades available to the next owner:
New Rolly Tasker cruising genoa with closed cell foam luff - 2017
New Rolly Tasker mainsail with two reef points - 2017
New sheaves at mast head installed in 2013
New main, genoa and spinnaker halyards installed in 2013
Custom SS cruising dodger/bimini and new Sunbrella canvas in 2013
240 Watt Solar Panels installed in 2013
Air Breeze wind generator installed 2013
Hurth transmission was completely rebuilt in 2016
2 SS fuel tanks installed in 2003
2 SS water tanks installed 2010
In 2013 the hull was sanded down to fiberglass, dry blisters were filled and the bottom was sealed with epoxy. A bottom coat was applied. Likewise, the deck and cockpit were sanded down to fiberglass, epoxied, then linear polyurethane paint was applied.
This well equipped Kelly Peterson is ready to set sail. Be it Alaska, around Vancouver Island, or off to Maui, or Central America, she has the reputation, the equipment (water maker, too), the electronics, the rigging (new and inspected), and capability to get you there safely and comfortably.
Come look at the extensive list of features and equipment that truly makes this a fine example of a well-equipped bluewater cruiser.
Because of recent inquires, it is important to mention that the standing rigging has been re-inspected by Rigging NW, and the chain plates and backstay have been replaced, and are in good condition. Also, she is listed as a sloop, but can be rigged for Cutter sailing (the deck hardware is in place).
